Honoka was slaving away over the oven, stirring up her batter in a bowl with her blazer off, and her shirt sleeves rolled up. She was making angel food cake for all the students. She wanted to help everyone feel better about the whole situation, not to completely forget about it but, also not to constantly worry either. She wanted to have her optimism spread to everyone else in someway. Maybe it'll be for the best.
Since she was busy baking, and humming to herself, she didn't hear anyone come in.

{I'll add Serena.} As she was a bit worried about the whole meeting with the bear in the gym, she hoped that things were going to be alright in the academy. She needed a place to make some new friends and at least get along with students and to prove to her mother that she can be a place where she could learn. As she was looking around the area, she started to get the creeps, until she smelled something good, she hoped it was cake, after all, sweetness can make one feel better! She saw a young lady in the cafeteria and it was the same lady from the gym and she walks right in with her stomach rumbling. "Hello again, Honoka! I see that you are making something delicious!" She said, with a smile. "Would you like some help?" She offered as she was looking around for an extra apron.

She looked behind her, seeing Serena, one of the students she met before. She smiled widely, continuing to stir. "Hey Serena!" She greeted. "If you don't mind. By the way, you won't be able to find an apron, trust me, I looked." She said, smiling nervously. She was slightly thankful she was wearing a white shirt, so people wouldn't notice the sugar and flour that's been splattered over it. Hey, baking can be a messy job.
"Hey, do you mind getting me the vanilla extract and some cream? I need to stir it into the batter."

As she saw that the young girl was letting her know that she needed help she nodded with a smile." Magnificent!" She said, with a giant grin upon her face and started to look around for an apron, until she heard that there was no other one. Luckily, underneath her shirt, she wore a t-shirt so, her outfit won't be ruined. "That's fine. I wish the school included more cooking supplies." She said, with a bit of complaining in her voice, and hoped that one day someone could at least have extra aprons. She still had that positive attitude on her face that although baking could be messy, the result would be delicious. After all, who could not resist some cake, especially if it's comfort food in a place like this. She heard her instructions which were baking supplies, and she went off to get some in the cabinets. "Here you, go!" She said, with a bright smile. "Last time I cooked something, I have no idea when, this will be so much fun." She said, with a bright smile and was excited to develop this hobby of making delicious pastries again.

"Hehe! Baking is always fun when you have more than one person working on the food!" Honoka said, picking up the pace of her stirring. She began humming softly, and dancing a little. She really did enjoy having someone else with her as she baked. "Thanks!" She said, taking the ingredients from the counter, pouring the vanilla and scooping the cream into the bowl. She began working on the batter once again.
After a few minutes, it was finally done. She placed the bowl down on the counter and walked over to the cabinets, looking for the right pan to use for the Angel food cake. She whined, having a hard time finding it. "Where is iiiit..?"

As Serena was smiling due to her optimism, she was smiling along with her. "Oui, it sure is. My mother and I used to bake a lot before she and I went into the jewelry making business." She said, with a giant grin and hummed along with the tune. She wondered what the cake will taste like after when it is all done, and she bet it will taste really good. "So, what do you so like to bake the most?" She asked, with a soft smile. She remembered when she was a kid, she remembered making cupcakes, which were always fun to make, especially with the frosting and sprinkles. She saw what she was doing with the cream and vanilla, and Serena felt her stomach growling again. "It looks great so far!" She complimented, and saw the batter looking extra tasty. "So, how long have you been cooking for?" She asked, with a soft smile, since she knew what she was doing. As the batter as done, she was helping the young girl look for the right pan, as she tried to remember what bakers used to make the Angel cake with. She looked through the cabinets and tried to look for the right pan as well. "Is this it?" She asked, as she held out a flat plan, hoping it was the right one she was looking for.

"I guess you and your mom had a good relationship, huh?" She asked. Honoka couldn't help but feel a little sad. She wished her and her mother had a better relationship. Her mother was proud of her for all the baker did but, that was the extent of it. Through out her childhood, she was left to play all by herself because her mother was too busy.
Honoka shook her head, not wanting to think about such sad memories. "You can have a taste if you want! Tell me how it is." She suggested, still looking through the cabinets. She looked over, seeing Serena hold up a flat pan. "No, it has to be round and-- Found it!" She said, happily, picking up the circular pan. She headed back to the counter, taking a spoon and gently pouring the batter in.

As she heard her question of her and her mom getting along well, she nods her head lightly, as she saw her looking sad. "Yeah, she would bake and make bracelets with me. She and I even had a jewelry business and then I had to take it over when my mother got diagnosed with cancer." She responded, with a small sigh, as she hoped that her mother was doing alright. She looked at her and thought that her relationship with her mom was something different, so, she didn't want to bring it up. "If you don't to talk about your relationship with your mother, it's fine by me." She said, as she continued to help out in the kitchen. She did smile to herself since before the cancer, her and her mother had some good times, but, one does not know what happens in other homes. As she heard Honoka letting her taste the batter, she grins and grabs a spoon from the drawer and takes a small taste. "Wow, Honoka, we make a good baking team! This tastes really excellent!" She said, with a smile on her face. "Everyone will love the cake for sure!" She exclaimed, as she was putting the spoon in the sink. As soon as she saw her doing the rest of the process, Serena was feeling her feet tapping with excitement, as she could not wait for everyone to try out this cake.

Her eyes widen, hearing that. "Oh! I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope things go well for her." She said, trying to make sure not to drop the bowl. Once she was finished pouring, she opened the pre-heated oven, sliding it in and closing the door. She dusted her hands off and smiled. "I sure hope so. I have a couple more cakes in the fridge." She said, walking to the fridgerator and opening the door. Two cakes were frosted and chilling inside. She didn't want them to get too cold however, so, she pulled them out and placed them on the counter.

She heard the girl mentioning that she felt sorry for the mother getting cancer, and she looked up at her. "Thank you very much, I hope that she does get better as well." She said, with a soft smile. Of course, as her mother got Cancer, the company got money to raise up some money to help her find a cure, but, she knew that her mother needed more than money. She was watching her putting the cake in the oven and saw how good it looked, and had high optimism that this cake would be tasty. "I'm sure it will be. It seems like you have been doing this for a long time. People will tell that you worked hard on it." She complimented, with a small smile. She then saw two other cakes being finished, and she could not wait to have a piece of one of them. Her eyes sparkled a bit, as though she was impressed with what she saw. "Wow, these look extra delicious." She said, and gave her a thumbs up in approval.

She smiled softly, looking back at Serena. "I'm glad you think so." She said. She patted the flour off her shirt and walked back to the kitchen counter. "I still have one more cake to make though." She added, walking around the kitchen to get the extra ingredients and appliances, while putting her dirty ones in the sink to clean later. The baker giggled. "You'll have to wait like everyone else~" She said, feeling pretty confident. If there was anything Honoka would be cocky with, it was her baking skills. Even so, she still felt a bit off for some reason. She wasn't really sure if people would really like them or not. After all, every person has different tastes and she didn't give that many options.
She laid her elbows on the table, contemplating whether or not she should bake a different cake.

She looked up at her and was glad that she was able to pull off making something this nice, like a desert. She smiles at her and wondered on how many cakes she could do in one day and she could imagine them tasting good. "Wow, you sure love to bake." She said, she could imagine on many cakes she makes. She smiled and as soon as she saw the dirty dishes, she helps out by cleaning. "Let me help you, Honoka." She offered, while cleaning. She did get excited and could not wait to see and taste the sweet treats. "The wait, I know will be totally worth it." She comments, with a wink. She took care of the dishes and puts them away for her. She could tell that she was worried about everyone not liking the cakes at all. She walks over to her and pats her shoulder. "I can tell that you worked hard, and people will like them. You are an excellent baker!" She said, and felt positive about the people liking her creations. She then looked at her and asked, "Want to bake some more? I enjoyed making the cake with you." She wanted to do another one, because not only it was fun, but, also creative. She remembered how creative she was when making her jewelry with her mother, so, she enjoyed creating things with this female.

"Well, I wouldn't do it so often if I didn't enjoy it, right?" She asked, giggling. She was glad someone else was being as positive as she was. She felt so bad, everyone else was pretty sad but, that was also perfectly understandable. They were in a scary situation, and who knows when the police will come to find them. However, even with all that, Honoka knew she had to be positive, for her own sanity. "Oh, if you don't mind washing the dishes, you can. I can help you out in a bit." She said.
The baker hummed softly, pouting with her cheeks full of air. "Well... I'm not sure what else to make. Something different or what i've been making...." She answered, tapping her finger on the counter.

She did have a point of having fun by doing her own hobby and making it into a reality, and although she was in a trapped school, she did stay positive. She did not her head at her comment with a soft smile, "Oui, that's right." She commented with a soft a smile. She did enjoy her work on making jewelry with her mother before she had cancer, and she did still liked doing it for her own sake, and she brought her jewelry kit to get the words from the bear off her mind. She continued to help out the girl with the dishes, and was humming to herself as she was doing them. "I'm on it!" She called out, with a small smile. She then saw her deciding on what to make next, and she thought of doing some recipes that her and her mother made from a strawberry short cake to a cheesecake. "Hm, how about a fruit cake! Like a strawberry cake or pine apple upside down cake." She suggested, hoping that there is good fruit around to make the cake.

"Hmmm.." Honoka hummed, thinking about Serena's suggestions. "How about a strawberry shortcake?" She said, shrugging softly. She decided that she could make the final decision after cleaning the dishes. The baker walked over to the sink, taking a cloth from one of the drawers. She picked up one of the bowls and began cleaning it thoroughly. Can't have any crusty batter or anything like that, after all. She softly tapped her foot as she scrubbed away.
