Name: Marinette Dupain-Cheng
Age: 15
Title: Super High School Level Comic Book Designer
Personality: Marinette is a very kind and friendly girl who cares deeply about her friends. She comes off as very happy, and cheerful. Her friendliness is shown through her generosity. The young girl is ready to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. While some believe her to be graceful she is very clumsy and can often make a fool of herself. When it comes to scary situations, she becomes very awkward and frightened. Because of this, she is quick to panic and sometimes even cry when it becomes too much. She tries to hide it with a big smile, believing that a smile can help others from worrying as well. Her self-confidence is something she is working hard to improve on.
History:
Marinette was born and raised in France. Though her background was of two nationalities, Marinette did her best to learn about both cultures. Her father, a baker taught Marinette many things and Marinette thought she too would be a pastry chef like her father. However, that all changed when she discovered her love for drawing. Her favorite TV shows and books inspired many of her drawings. Her drawings eventually started to become comic book pages and students, left and right wanted to read them. They were very impressed and were constantly asking for more. She was happy to learn that people loved her work.
One day, a creative contest was held at her school. The prize was that whatever won, story, poem or comic would get published. Marinette’s friends encouraged her to enter. Submitting one of her pages, for a new comic idea she had. The hero was a young girl who wore a costume that was similar to a ladybug. It was going to be called Miraculous Ladybug. One mean girl spoke out against Marinette’s entry saying it was childish. It was not worthy of being published at all. Marinette almost gave up on her dream. It wasn’t until surprise praise came from a boy, who thought that her art was whimsical and worthy of being published. This caused her to have a little hope and entered the contest. The comic page won much to the surprise of Marinette. This win and her art won her a spot at Hope’s Peak. This was a new start for her, and she was hoping for a fun new year. However she did not realize what darkness awaited her.
(yes the boy i am thinking about is the anime version of Adrian from the same show)
