Gowther sat on the bleachers, a stack of books next to him and an open book on his lap. He usually preferred libraries to read in, but more people were frequenting the library for now. And no one was really spending time in the gym, so he figrued it was a good a place as any to read. It was better than reading his stuffy room. Flipping through the book, he stopped when he heard someone enter the gym. When he spotted Ange, he recognized her and closed the book, stepping down from the bleachers, his heeled boots making a resounding click as he walked. Meeting her would be the second author he'd met here.

Ange clutched her cousin's diary to her chest as she made her way back into the gym. She doubted very many people were going to come back after that announcement, and honestly, it would have been a good idea to ask her muses (the characters in her story, borrowed from the characters her cousin had invented) what to do next in the next installment of Sakutaro's Bizarre Adventure. It was something she couldn't really do among a lot of people due to them essentially being imaginary friends, but if she was going to continue her series as Yukari Kotobuki, it was a necessary embarrassment.
Her footsteps seemed to reverberate in her ears, and she slowly seemed to realize that a fellow student was approaching her. "Oh.... may I help you?" she asked, quite surprised that not only someone was approaching her, but that the gym was already previously occupied.

"Hello, I am Gowther." He nodded "And I assume you are Yukari Kotobuki. Kazuya told me about you being here as well, and I just wanted to say that I like your work." It was blunt, but Gowther was always blunt with his answers. He smiled "I enjoyed reading Sakutaro's Bizarre Adventure. It was very delightful and had a fantasy element not all stories have. You're good at what you do, but I suppose you wouldn't be here if you weren't good."

This was most definitely a first. She had talked with a few smaller kids who had liked her book, but for the most part, she hadn't met anybody who had read her series and really loved it. "I.... thank you.... Gowther-san..." She finally said, her face getting a bit flush. She gripped harder onto the diary in her arms, and it was safe to say that Ange didn't receive very many genuine compliments. "I... Well, my inspiration has been likened to acting and imagining... but I'm glad that you liked my little stuffed lion's adventures," Ange added after a moment of some weird silence, brushing a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I guess I'm talented enough to end up here, huh... I never would have thought Sakutaro would have led me to get into Hope's Peak... although, it's much better than my old school." The thought of St. Lucia made Ange shudder.

"You are very welcome." He could tell she wasn't used to getting compliments "Sakutaro is an adorable character, and you must have had fun creating him." He spoke "And you've earned the right to be here, great talent deserves great recognition." Gowther turned around "Sorry if I have bothered you. I can see you wanted to use the gym for something, but if you don't mind, may I read here as well?" He didn't want to get in her way, should she want space.

"Y-yes... My cousin had a stuffed lion just like him, and he served as the basis for my Sakutaro," Ange explained. In the end, that lion had been just a mass-produced stuffed lion, but the fact he made her cousin happy was the result, not that Ange's aunt had lied to her daughter. "B-but thank you, Gowther-san."
While it was far more embarrassing to write as she usually did with someone present (and which led to a certain fiasco at her old school), Ange figured that since he was here first, he had the right to be in the gym. "That... That is fine..." Ange nodded.

Gowther climbed back up the bleachers where he had originally sitting "Sorry I embarrassed you." He opened a book and looked the page over "It was not my intention." Perhaps, he thought to himself, I shouldn't have been so direct in approaching her. He adjusted his glasses and looked at her "If you do not mind my asking, and I know I said I would stay out of your way, but I am curious, what do you think of all this?" He closed the book "I hope no one here will take the bear's word seriously, but I can't deny that it's a possibility, if the bear meant what he said."

Ange shook her head. "It's fine... I rarely get complimented, is all. Genuinely, anyway." Man, that bodyguard annoyed her with how he flirted with her, and most definitely didn't mean it. Maybe she's meet a good person here to replace him after they got out.
She played with one of the ponytails she had, twirling the hair. "Well, to be honest... In my experience, people can be capable of the kindest things, but also the cruelest things. I can't speak for anyone, but in a stressful situation like this... It can bring out the extreme sides of people. I would hope that nobody would kill anyone, but I also can't deny that the possibility that someone might be tempted by anything the bear promises, such as an escape... And do something that they wouldn't consider normally."

"I suppose we can just hope for people to be capable of such kindness." He traced his tattoo on his chest absent-mindedly. He often forgot it was there, despite it being in a place where it could be seen "Do you want to get out that badly?" He asked, blunt as ever "Granted that eventually, someone has to notice no one is communicating from inside the school to the outside, no matter what that bear says, which, according to him, everyone thinks we're living a normal high school life." Gowther cleaned his glasses off on his shirt "Even so, someone might get curious about whatever 'information' Monokuma is offering." Ange didn't seem the type to kill someone, but no one could be certain about anyone.
