Nozomi smiled sweetly as she revealed the first card in the spread. "Well, they generally are used to help someone learn what is in their future, but in a more correct term, it would show what may hold them back, what their current situation is, and what the outcome may be, depending on their actions."
She revealed the High Priestess in the upright position. "This answers the influences... So, secrets and wisdom influence our bear." She turned over the card under it. "Emperor in Reverse. So, since this card represents the obstacles in our bear's way... So rigidity and inflexibility from the students, I presume, are preventing our bear from his desires."

Kofuku thought about it for awhile. They were the obstacles in this bear's way. "Could that be the real why he summoned us here in the first place. To get rid of us one by one." The thought normally would have sent shivers down her spine but part of Kofuku was excited to learn about what was going to happen. It was almost like a murder mystery, a much more dangerous game of who-done it.
She couldn't figure out why this bear would want them gone though? Was it because they were the best in their talents. She groaned in frustration and pouted. "This is so hard to figure out, so many questions left unanswered."

Nozomi flipped over the third card. "The Fool... The third card represents the recent past, so... That bear decided to take a leap of faith in trapping so many students." The fourth card revealed was Justice in the reverse position. "Justice in reverse means coldness, an unbalanced lifestyle, and bias... So these are the issues our bear had to deal with. The next card will reveal the bear's motives."
She toyed with a piece of her hair. "They say the best way to win against someone is to know them well, though I believe as a gambler, you'd know that."

Kofuku titled her head to the side before thinking. "I suppose so, though with gambling you don't know everything about your opponent until you are playing against them. For instance, I can pick up little habits that other players have despite them trying to remain calm or stone-faced." She never liked the term poker face. It seemed like really silly idea. "A hand-twitch, or a small glance of the eye can tell you a lot about a person and their cards." She had to learn all that through experience. It wasn't easy but it seemed like such a long time ago.
"Though I don't think a bear would be very good at gambling. Seems like he has already taken a big enough gamble with his latest motive."
