Personality: Erika is a soft-spoken girl who speaks politely (except when she gets excited). She loves murder mysteries, and has the luck of a murder occurring everywhere she goes. When it comes to solving mysteries, Erika is relentless, and will chase a culprit (even if the culprit is the wrong one) until she can get a confession. She has a very lewd side, tends to enjoy getting pain as much as she dishes it out, values herself as being the best and acts like it (and throws a tantrum when she is proven wrong). She's very intelligent (leading to Erika nicknaming herself The Intellectual Rapist [which has no sexual connotations, but all the cruelty implied]), and enjoys seeing and causing discord. She has read many murder mysteries and considers herself an expert in the genre, as well as an expert detective (even though she isn't one job-wise). Erika always dresses in fancy clothes (except when she wears a bathing suit). She loves chopsticks and duct tape (the latter which she uses to solve crimes, effectively). She has a tendency to use English in her sentences (which will be written as Spanish here.) She also hates love, and will viciously pursue and condemn any person she pereceives as a culprit who claims love as a motive. So, needless to say, she's happy to be here, and also needless to say, she's capable of being a cruel troll.
Background: Erika comes from a rich family, and with her family's wealth came an abundance of classic books. She started reading mysteries from an early age, and liked to solve mysteries, even if she made them up herself. Because she was so young, she received a lot of praise, and this naturally went to her head. She grew up in what was a normal life for a rich Japanese girl. She asked a boy out when she got older, and he was an actor, but he agreed to go out with her. Eventually, she started seeing him less, and she suspected he was cheating on her, so she put her detective skills to use and dug up evidence, which prompted him to dump her and break her heart. From that day on, Erika didn't care who she hurt, just so long as she solved the mystery (and she considers the breakup her victory because she exposed him). At one point, she was involved with the death of Ange's family by being of relation to someone from the tragedy. She went around to different crime scenes and tried to solve the case for them. This happened so often that she got flagged for cases so she wouldn't be let in the scene, and thus, Erika Furudo caught the attention of Hope's Peak.
